Take a Break Let’s
take a break to talk about breaks. As long as you can control their
length, breaks are an important part of learning. They can be tools for
procrastination busting. It’s
important to ask yourself these questions about your approach to breaks:
Plan
for 10-minute breaks The idea behind breaks is that they are less difficult than what you are studying. So if you go from doing math homework to a 10-minute “break” to do science homework, that may not work. Instead, think about spending your 10 minutes on something mentally refreshing, such as walking around the block or listening to music.
Share
your ideas for break activities Think
of at least five activities you enjoy doing that take less than 10
minutes. Share your ideas here and pick up some new ideas you can
use.
