Join a Study Support Group One of the best resources for preparing for exams is a study support group. Learning is essentially a social activity, and understanding concepts and their relationships is easier if you do it in a group. That's because other people can create a special "learning zone" for you. When you are in the zone, sharing ideas and working with others, your understanding as a member of the group exceeds your understanding alone. You can form a study support group online now in one of these ways: 1. Post your course name and number to our study support group message board and indicate the kind of help you're looking for and how potential members can best contact you. 2. Visit our study support group chat room [under construction], which is [will be] available 24 hours a day. Ask for the kind of support you need, and another visitor may be able to help you right away. Resources to help you get the most from your study group are available at the Academic Learning Lab, Room 250G of the Younkin Success Center, 1640 Neil Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Guidelines for group success are also covered in EPL 259: Individual Learning and Motivation. |
