Search FAQ

Q1. What does it mean to limit my search?

This means that rather than searching all of the pages at The Ohio State University you only search through a subset of them.  You can limit your search to either the Academic Learning Lab (this site) the main OSU web pages.

Q2. How do I search just the Academic Learning Lab's web pages?

If you'd like to search just the Academic Learning Lab's pages (this site), meaning those off the all.successcenter.ohio-state.edu web site, check the box in the 'Limit' section called 'The Academic Learning Lab'.

Q3. How do I search just the main OSU pages?

If you'd like to search just the main OSU pages, meaning those off the www.osu.edu web site, check the box in the 'Limit' section called 'The Ohio State University'.

Q4. What if I don't want to limit my search?

If you do not want to limit your search, then do NOT check any of the boxes under 'Limit'.

Q5. What if I want to include department pages in my search?

If you want to include department pages in your search, do NOT check any of the boxes under 'Limit'.

Q6. How do I search the Internet?

You cannot search the Internet using this search page.  If you'd like to search the Internet, I suggest using Google
